Win Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby Yarn from AllFreeCrochet!

March 5, 2013 by AllFreeCrochet 80 Comments

As soon as we learned that Red Heart was coming out with a new line baby yarn, we knew it would be a huge hit. And boy, were we right! We were eager to get our hands on the latest Anne Geddes baby yarn, and we know you are too, which is why we’re giving away four skeins to one lucky winner.

The newly introduced Anne Geddes Baby yarn by Red Heart is absolutely amazing to work with. Not only are the crochet colors fabulous, but the yarn itself is silky soft. It easily glides through your fingers as if it’s made with aloe. There’s no doubt that any baby will feel comfortable sporting this yarn in a stylish hat, headband or even sweater.

Anne Geddes yarn is the first to get out of the cliché pastel baby colors. The beautiful assortment of crochet colors range from bright grassy greens to sherbet-like colored pinks. If you’re not quite ready to break out of your comfort zone to try primary colors for baby, the Anne Geddes line still has a few pastels to choose from, as well.

Enter here for your chance to win four skeins of Red Heard Anne Geddes Baby yarn! The contest ends March 13. One lucky winner will win one skein of each color shown above: Grass, Taffy, Robin, and Jam.

What would you make with this yarn?

Baby afghan with multicolored motifs — all the colors are so fresh and springy and could work for either a boy or a girl and in any nursery. They remind me of happy spring traditions like Easter egg hunts and baskets full of candy like Peeps and children’s Easter outfits and wildflowers everywhere!

At this time, my family is not expecting a new addition, sad to say.
I would knit a premie stripped sweater, hat and booties, and if there is left over yarn, but not enough to complete a stripped blanket, I would purchase additional yarn to complete a matching stripped blanket. Then I would take it down to St. Joseph’s Hospital and donate all the knitted items to their premie department for a new beautiful baby coming into this world.

I was recently diagnosed with 3 different eye problems that are slowly robbing me of my eyesight. If I won this yarn I would use it to make various baby items (booties, blankets, hats, rompers, etc.) so that as my daughters have children in the future there are items ready and waiting for my grandchildren. My youngest daughter just recently gave birth to my first grandson and I have been making items for him but would love to put some other items aside for future grandchildren to have before I lose my sight and the ability to make any more gifts for them.
